Yes, foreigners can freely buy property on the Costa del Sol with no restrictions. You will need a NIE number (Número de Identificación de Extranjero), a Spanish tax ID required for all property transactions. Non-residents can also apply for a Spanish mortgage and finance up to 70% of the purchase price. YNS Spain assists you with the NIE process as part of our full buyer guidance service.
